Wed. morning March 7

Here is a photo of Jo coming downstairs from her first real shower since the surgery. Yes, she took the stairs with a cane! She is doing very well.

It is snowing today after being outside yesterday enjoying the sunshine! Jo is getting around pretty well with occupational therapy, physical therapy and a home health nurse coming to the house. She is walking with her walker by herself making loops around the inside of the house. She is sitting up at the dining table and doing her exercises. The incentive to garden by this summer is pretty strong! She really enjoys those phone calls and notes, some with pictures! Thanks for staying in touch.......

Jo sat out in the sun and had lunch on the front porch today. Beautiful around 70 degrees and things starting to bloom. Jo is walking pretty well and doing better each day.

Jo was discharged today and we got home tonight around 6. She is doing well and physical therapy starts coming to the house tomorrow morning.Looking forward to being home and eating all the good food that others are dropping by!

Jo had two blood transfusions yesterday (Sunday) for low hemoglobin and low blood pressure. They felt like she had overdone it walking the previous day and didn't push the distance on Sunday. The original plan was for her to come home on Monday but we will see what the surgeon determines on his rounds this morning.
